I'm a personal development junkie, so this kind of book gets my attention right away. What I didn't expect was a mirror to hold up and see what I was letting stand in the way of accomplishing my goals. This is a book that truly makes you pause and think. Sad to say, but the truth is I rarely read the introductions in books. But for some reason, I read it in this book. It is very moving. It is inspiring. It proves that even though the odds are against you, you have the power to make something of yourself. Rather than take the easy way out and make excuses, you can make choices that lead you down a better path. This book is full of thought-provoking quotes. But my favorite is the very first quote. How true Paul’s comment…same words, big difference in meaning. Buy this book, and don’t just read it…contemplate it. It will make your life better.

I’ve been a fan of Paul Edgewater ever since I experienced his motivational lecture via a business event that had him as a guest speaker, representing Busy Bee Promotions. I still, to this day, have his book and quote card prominently displayed and readily available for reference at any time. I have followed him for years, always sourcing his words of wisdom and guidance, and interpreting it at my level, and applying that newfound knowledge to whatever it was I was building upon. In the Summer of 2012, street artist "Screwtape" Paoli started shadowing street art activist "Army Of One" Jef Campion.
Paoli chose Army Of One because he was not in the game for gallery visibility, sales, or personal recognition. His cause was much higher. To bring awareness to the safety and care of children everywhere.
After Jef's passing in early 2014, Paoli started assembling thousands of hours of footage of that summer. He uncovered all the personal hidden pain and suffering Jef endured while working full time as a firefighter, 911 responder, and a full-time volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House.
Jef unashamedly takes us into his world and puts his life long demons on display. He shows us a close-up view of how he gave his most significant efforts using the illegal medium of street art to open up the world's eyes to it's most valuable treasure: the children.
